Objective
To ensure the outdoor clinic area of the government building is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, adhering to Australian cleaning standards and workplace health and safety requirements.
Scope of Work
- Sanitising all high-touch surfaces including benches, handrails, and door handles.
- Cleaning and disinfecting outdoor seating areas.
- Emptying and sanitising rubbish bins.
- Sweeping and mopping all hard floor surfaces.
- Dusting and wiping down all external surfaces and fixtures.
- Cleaning and sanitising public toilets, ensuring all fixtures are free from stains and odours.
- Ensuring all cleaning activities comply with infection control standards as per Australian Guidelines for the Prevention and Control of Infection in Healthcare.
Method
- Prepare the cleaning trolley with all necessary supplies, ensuring colour-coded cleaning cloths and mops are used to prevent cross-contamination.
- Begin by emptying rubbish bins and replacing liners, ensuring bins are sanitised.
- Sweep all hard surfaces to remove debris, followed by mopping with a disinfectant solution.
- Sanitise all high-touch surfaces using a hospital-grade disinfectant.
- Clean and disinfect outdoor seating and tables, ensuring all surfaces are free from dirt and stains.
- Dust and wipe down all external surfaces, including signage and fixtures.
- Clean and sanitise public toilets, ensuring all surfaces are disinfected and free from stains and odours.
- Conduct a final inspection to ensure all areas meet the quality criteria.
Equipment
- Cleaning trolley with colour-coded cleaning cloths and mops.
- Hospital-grade disinfectant.
- Dustpan and broom.
- Microfibre cloths.
