Objective

To maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment in the music room of the aged care facility, ensuring compliance with Australian cleaning standards and infection control guidelines.

Scope of Work
  • Dust all surfaces including musical instruments, furniture, and fixtures.
  • Vacuum carpeted areas and rugs.
  • Mop hard floors with appropriate disinfectant.
  • Sanitise high-touch areas such as door handles, light switches, and music stands.
  • Clean windows and mirrors to ensure they are free from streaks and smudges.
  • Empty rubbish bins and replace liners.
  • Ensure air vents and filters are free from dust and debris.
Method
  1. Begin by dusting all surfaces using a microfibre cloth to capture dust and allergens.
  2. Vacuum carpeted areas using a HEPA-filter vacuum cleaner to minimise airborne particles.
  3. Mop hard floors with a neutral pH disinfectant, ensuring no residue is left behind.
  4. Use a hospital-grade disinfectant to sanitise high-touch areas, allowing appropriate contact time for effectiveness.
  5. Clean windows and mirrors with a glass cleaner, using a squeegee for a streak-free finish.
  6. Empty rubbish bins, ensuring waste is disposed of according to facility protocols, and replace liners.
  7. Inspect and clean air vents and filters, ensuring they are free from dust and obstructions.
