Objective

Ensure the hallway in the aged care facility is clean, sanitized, and safe for residents, staff, and visitors, maintaining a high standard of hygiene and appearance.

Scope of Work
  • Dust all horizontal surfaces including ledges, handrails, and furniture.
  • Vacuum all carpeted areas to remove dust and debris.
  • Mop all hard floor surfaces using a disinfectant solution.
  • Wipe down walls and doors to remove marks and fingerprints.
  • Sanitize high-touch areas such as light switches and door handles.
  • Empty and sanitize waste bins, replacing liners as needed.
Method
  1. Begin by dusting all horizontal surfaces using a microfiber cloth to capture dust effectively.
  2. Vacuum carpeted areas with a HEPA-filter vacuum cleaner to ensure dust and allergens are removed.
  3. Prepare a disinfectant solution according to manufacturer instructions and mop all hard floor surfaces, ensuring no excess water is left behind.
  4. Use a damp microfiber cloth to wipe down walls and doors, focusing on removing visible marks.
  5. Apply a disinfectant spray to high-touch areas and wipe with a clean cloth.
  6. Remove waste bin liners, sanitize the interior and exterior of bins, and replace with new liners.

Documentation
