Objective

To ensure the cinema room in the aged care facility is cleaned to the highest standards, promoting a safe and hygienic environment for residents and staff.

Scope of Work
  • Dust all surfaces including seats, tables, and equipment.
  • Vacuum all carpeted areas thoroughly.
  • Mop hard floors using a damp mop with appropriate cleaning solution.
  • Sanitise all high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, and remote controls.
  • Empty and clean rubbish bins, replacing liners as needed.
  • Clean and sanitise any spills or stains immediately.
  • Ensure all cleaning is conducted using colour-coded cleaning systems to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Check and clean air vents and ensure they are free from dust and debris.
Method
  1. Prepare the cleaning trolley with all necessary equipment and supplies, ensuring colour-coded cloths and mops are used.
  2. Dust all surfaces using a microfibre cloth, starting from the highest point and working downwards.
  3. Vacuum carpeted areas using a HEPA-filter vacuum cleaner to minimise dust and allergens.
  4. Mop hard floors with a neutral pH cleaner, ensuring no excess water is left on the floor.
  5. Sanitise high-touch surfaces with an approved disinfectant, allowing appropriate contact time for effectiveness.
  6. Empty rubbish bins, clean them with a disinfectant, and replace liners.
  7. Inspect the room for any spills or stains and clean them immediately using appropriate spot cleaning techniques.
  8. Check air vents for dust accumulation and clean as necessary.
