Objective

Ensure the Scrap Metal Area is maintained to the highest cleanliness standards, minimising hazards and ensuring compliance with Australian workplace health and safety requirements.

Scope of Work
  • Remove all visible debris and scrap metal remnants from the floor.
  • Dust all surfaces, including machinery and storage areas, using appropriate dust control methods.
  • Mop floors with industrial-grade cleaning solutions to remove any grease or oil residues.
  • Sanitise high-touch surfaces such as door handles and control panels.
  • Empty and clean rubbish bins, ensuring proper waste segregation.
  • Inspect and clean drains to prevent blockages and odours.
Method
  1. Conduct a preliminary inspection to identify areas requiring immediate attention.
  2. Use a colour-coded cleaning system to prevent cross-contamination.
  3. Employ industrial vacuums to remove dust and small debris from surfaces and floors.
  4. Apply degreasing agents to oily surfaces, followed by thorough mopping.
  5. Sanitise surfaces using approved disinfectants, focusing on high-touch areas.
  6. Dispose of waste in accordance with local regulations, ensuring recycling protocols are followed.
