Objective

Ensure the Medical Gas Plant in the healthcare facility is cleaned to the highest standards, maintaining a hygienic environment that supports infection control and operational efficiency.

Scope of Work
  • Dust all surfaces including equipment, pipes, and shelving.
  • Sanitise all high-touch surfaces such as door handles, switches, and control panels.
  • Vacuum and mop floors using a colour-coded cleaning system to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Empty and sanitise rubbish bins.
  • Clean and sanitise sinks and taps.
  • Ensure all cleaning activities comply with infection control guidelines.
Method
  1. Prepare the cleaning trolley with appropriate colour-coded cloths, mops, and cleaning agents.
  2. Dust all surfaces using a microfibre cloth to capture dust and prevent dispersal.
  3. Sanitise high-touch surfaces with a hospital-grade disinfectant, ensuring contact time as per manufacturer's instructions.
  4. Vacuum floors using a HEPA-filtered vacuum cleaner to minimise airborne particles.
  5. Mop floors with a damp mop using a neutral detergent, ensuring no residue is left.
  6. Empty rubbish bins, replace liners, and sanitise the bin interior and exterior.
  7. Clean sinks and taps with a non-abrasive cleaner, ensuring all surfaces are dry and free of water spots.
