Objective

Ensure the helipad at the healthcare facility is maintained to the highest cleaning standards, ensuring safety, infection control, and compliance with Australian regulations.

Scope of Work
  • Remove all debris and rubbish from the helipad area.
  • Sanitise all surfaces to prevent infection risks.
  • Ensure all markings and signage are visible and free from obstructions.
  • Conduct a visual inspection for any stains or spills and clean immediately.
  • Ensure all drains are clear and free from blockages.
  • Check and clean lighting fixtures to ensure proper illumination.
  • Use colour-coded cleaning systems to prevent cross-contamination.
Method
  1. Begin by removing all visible debris and rubbish, placing it in the designated rubbish bins.
  2. Use a high-pressure washer to clean the helipad surface, ensuring all dirt and grime are removed.
  3. Apply a hospital-grade disinfectant to all surfaces, following the manufacturer's instructions for dwell time and dilution.
  4. Inspect all painted markings and signage, cleaning any dirt or obstructions.
  5. Check drains for blockages and clear as necessary.
  6. Clean lighting fixtures with a damp cloth and ensure they are functioning correctly.
  7. Conduct a final inspection to ensure all cleaning tasks have been completed to standard.
