Objective
Ensure the boiler room in the healthcare facility is cleaned to the highest standards to maintain a safe and hygienic environment, minimising infection risks and ensuring compliance with Australian health and safety regulations.
Scope of Work
- Dust all surfaces including pipes, ledges, and equipment.
- Sanitise high-touch areas such as door handles and light switches.
- Vacuum and mop floors using a colour-coded cleaning system to prevent cross-contamination.
- Empty and sanitise rubbish bins.
- Wipe down walls and remove any cobwebs.
- Ensure all cleaning activities comply with infection control guidelines.
Method
- Prepare the cleaning trolley with appropriate colour-coded cloths and mops.
- Dust all surfaces using a damp microfibre cloth to capture dust particles.
- Sanitise high-touch areas with a hospital-grade disinfectant.
- Vacuum the floor using a HEPA-filter vacuum cleaner to capture fine dust particles.
- Mop the floor with a neutral detergent solution, ensuring no residue is left.
- Empty rubbish bins and replace liners, sanitising the bin interior and exterior.
- Inspect the area for any remaining dust or debris and address as needed.
