Objective

To ensure the lap pool area in hospitality facilities is cleaned to the highest Australian standards, ensuring safety, hygiene, and aesthetic appeal for all users.

Scope of Work
  • Remove debris and rubbish from pool area and surrounding surfaces.
  • Sanitise pool deck, ladders, and handrails using appropriate cleaning agents.
  • Wipe down and sanitise poolside furniture and fixtures.
  • Mop and dry the pool deck to prevent slip hazards.
  • Clean and sanitise changing rooms and shower areas adjacent to the pool.
  • Ensure all rubbish bins are emptied and cleaned.
  • Inspect and clean poolside drains and grates to ensure proper drainage.
  • Utilise colour-coded cleaning systems to prevent cross-contamination.
Method
  1. Begin by removing all visible debris and rubbish from the pool area and dispose of it in the appropriate rubbish bins.
  2. Use a trolley with colour-coded cleaning supplies to sanitise the pool deck, ladders, and handrails, ensuring all surfaces are thoroughly cleaned.
  3. Wipe down poolside furniture and fixtures with a sanitising solution, ensuring all surfaces are free from dirt and grime.
  4. Mop the pool deck with a non-slip cleaning solution, ensuring the area is dry to prevent slip hazards.
  5. Clean and sanitise changing rooms and shower areas, paying special attention to high-touch surfaces such as taps and door handles.
  6. Empty all rubbish bins, replace liners, and clean the bins with a disinfectant solution.
  7. Inspect poolside drains and grates, removing any blockages and cleaning as necessary to ensure proper drainage.
  8. Ensure all cleaning equipment is cleaned and stored correctly after use.

GoodSurfaces are generally clean with minor spots of dirt. Pool deck is mostly dry with minimal slip hazards. Minor odours may be present but are not overpowering. Furniture and fixtures are mostly clean.
PassSurfaces show some dirt and debris. Pool deck may have wet areas posing slip hazards. Noticeable odours present. Furniture and fixtures have visible dirt.
FailSurfaces are dirty with significant debris. Pool deck is wet and hazardous. Strong odours present. Furniture and fixtures are visibly dirty and unsanitary.
Documentation
