Objective
To ensure the dance floor in hospitality facilities is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety, providing a hygienic and visually appealing environment for patrons.
Scope of Work
- Remove all loose debris and rubbish from the dance floor area.
- Dust and wipe down all surfaces, including railings and any adjacent furniture.
- Vacuum the entire dance floor to remove dust and small particles.
- Mop the dance floor using a suitable cleaning solution to ensure it is free from sticky residues and stains.
- Sanitise the dance floor with an appropriate disinfectant to eliminate germs and bacteria.
- Inspect the dance floor for any spills or stains and address them promptly.
- Ensure all cleaning is conducted using a colour-coded system to prevent cross-contamination.
Method
- Begin by clearing the dance floor of any rubbish and debris, placing it in the appropriate rubbish bins.
- Use a microfibre cloth to dust and wipe down all surfaces, ensuring no dust or fingerprints remain.
- Vacuum the dance floor thoroughly, paying special attention to corners and edges.
- Prepare a mop with a suitable cleaning solution and mop the entire dance floor, ensuring even coverage.
- Apply a sanitising solution to the floor, allowing it to air dry to ensure maximum effectiveness.
- Conduct a final inspection to ensure all areas are clean and free of any visible dirt or stains.

Excellent | Dance floor is spotless with no visible dust, debris, or stains. Surfaces are sanitised and free of any sticky residues. No unpleasant odours present. |
Good | Dance floor is clean with minimal dust or debris. Surfaces are mostly sanitised with only minor residues. No strong odours present. |
Pass | Dance floor has some visible dust or debris. Surfaces are partially sanitised with noticeable residues. Mild odours may be present. |
Fail | Dance floor is visibly dirty with significant dust, debris, or stains. Surfaces are not sanitised, with sticky residues and strong odours present. |
Documentation
- Cleaning Checklist: Digital or paper checklist to verify completion of all cleaning tasks
