Objective
Ensure the walking paths in the government building are clean, safe, and presentable, adhering to Australian cleaning standards and workplace health and safety requirements.
Scope of Work
- Remove all rubbish and debris from walking paths.
- Dust and wipe down all surfaces, including railings and benches.
- Vacuum or sweep paths to remove dirt and dust.
- Mop hard surfaces with appropriate cleaning solution.
- Sanitise high-touch areas such as railings and door handles.
- Ensure all cleaning activities comply with colour-coded cleaning systems.
Method
- Inspect the walking path for any rubbish or debris and remove it using a trolley and rubbish bin.
- Dust all surfaces using a microfibre cloth, ensuring no dust remains visible.
- Vacuum carpeted areas using a HEPA-filter vacuum cleaner to minimise airborne dust.
- Mop hard surfaces with a neutral pH cleaner, ensuring no streaks or residue remain.
- Sanitise high-touch areas with a hospital-grade disinfectant, following the manufacturer's instructions for contact time.
- Conduct a final inspection to ensure all areas meet the quality criteria.

Documentation
- Cleaning Checklist: Digital or paper checklist to verify completion of all cleaning tasks
