Objective

Ensure the walking paths in the government building are clean, safe, and presentable, adhering to Australian cleaning standards and workplace health and safety requirements.

Scope of Work
  • Remove all rubbish and debris from walking paths.
  • Dust and wipe down all surfaces, including railings and benches.
  • Vacuum or sweep paths to remove dirt and dust.
  • Mop hard surfaces with appropriate cleaning solution.
  • Sanitise high-touch areas such as railings and door handles.
  • Ensure all cleaning activities comply with colour-coded cleaning systems.
Method
  1. Inspect the walking path for any rubbish or debris and remove it using a trolley and rubbish bin.
  2. Dust all surfaces using a microfibre cloth, ensuring no dust remains visible.
  3. Vacuum carpeted areas using a HEPA-filter vacuum cleaner to minimise airborne dust.
  4. Mop hard surfaces with a neutral pH cleaner, ensuring no streaks or residue remain.
  5. Sanitise high-touch areas with a hospital-grade disinfectant, following the manufacturer's instructions for contact time.
  6. Conduct a final inspection to ensure all areas meet the quality criteria.
