Objective
To ensure the vehicle wash area in the government building is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, adhering to Australian cleaning standards and workplace health and safety requirements.
Scope of Work
- Remove all visible debris and rubbish from the vehicle wash area.
- Sanitise all surfaces including walls, floors, and equipment.
- Ensure drains are clear and free from blockages.
- Clean and polish all taps and fixtures.
- Wipe down and sanitise all high-touch surfaces.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are replenished and stored correctly.
- Check and clean all signage for visibility and cleanliness.
Method
- Begin by removing all visible rubbish and debris, placing it in the appropriate rubbish bins.
- Use a high-pressure hose to wash down the entire area, focusing on removing dirt and grime from surfaces.
- Apply a suitable sanitising solution to all surfaces, allowing it to dwell for the recommended time before rinsing.
- Use a mop and bucket to clean the floor, ensuring all water is directed towards the drains.
- Wipe down all high-touch surfaces with a disinfectant wipe.
- Polish taps and fixtures using a microfibre cloth.
- Inspect and clean all signage, ensuring it is free from dirt and clearly visible.

Quality Criteria
Performance Level | Criteria |

Good | Minor dirt or grime present on less than 5% of surfaces. No strong odours. High-touch surfaces are mostly sanitised. Drains are mostly clear. Signage is mostly clean and visible. |
Pass | Noticeable dirt or grime on 10% of surfaces. Mild odours present. High-touch surfaces are partially sanitised. Drains have minor blockages. Signage is somewhat clean and visible. |
Fail | Significant dirt or grime on more than 10% of surfaces. Strong odours present. High-touch surfaces are not sanitised. Drains are blocked. Signage is dirty and not visible. |
