Objective
Ensure the metal detector area in the government building is maintained to the highest cleaning standards, ensuring safety, hygiene, and operational efficiency.
Scope of Work
- Dust and wipe down all surfaces of the metal detector, including the frame and control panel.
- Sanitise high-touch areas such as the control panel and handrails.
- Vacuum the floor area around the metal detector to remove debris and dust.
- Empty and clean the rubbish bin located near the metal detector.
- Inspect and clean any visible stains or marks on the metal detector and surrounding area.
Method
- Begin by donning appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as per Australian workplace health and safety requirements.
- Use a microfibre cloth to dust and wipe down all surfaces of the metal detector, ensuring no dust or debris is left.
- Apply a suitable sanitising solution to high-touch areas, allowing appropriate contact time for effective sanitisation.
- Use a vacuum cleaner with a HEPA filter to clean the floor area around the metal detector, ensuring all debris is removed.
- Empty the rubbish bin, replace the liner, and clean the bin with a disinfectant wipe.
- Inspect the area for any remaining stains or marks and clean them using an appropriate cleaning agent.

Documentation
