Objective

Ensure the pool deck area of the aged care facility is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, promoting a safe and pleasant environment for residents and staff.

Scope of Work
  • Thoroughly clean and sanitize all surfaces, including poolside tiles, handrails, and seating areas.
  • Remove any debris, litter, or organic matter from the pool deck area.
  • Ensure all drains and water outlets are free from blockages and clean.
  • Wipe down and disinfect all high-touch surfaces, including door handles and light switches.
  • Clean and polish any glass surfaces or windows surrounding the pool deck.
  • Ensure all cleaning agents used are suitable for use in aged care facilities and safe for residents.
Method
  1. Begin by removing all loose debris and litter from the pool deck area using appropriate tools.
  2. Apply a suitable cleaning solution to all surfaces, allowing it to dwell for the recommended time to ensure effective sanitization.
  3. Scrub surfaces with a non-abrasive brush or mop to remove dirt and grime.
  4. Rinse all surfaces thoroughly with clean water to remove any cleaning solution residue.
  5. Dry all surfaces using a squeegee or absorbent cloth to prevent slip hazards.
  6. Inspect all areas to ensure no spots or streaks remain, and re-clean if necessary.
