Objective
To ensure the foyer of the government building is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, providing a welcoming and safe environment for all visitors and staff.
Cleaning Methods
Prepare the cleaning trolley with all essential supplies and equipment, ensuring the use of colour-coded cleaning cloths for distinct areas to avoid cross-contamination.
Begin by dusting all horizontal surfaces, working from top to bottom to capture all dust and debris.
Mop the hard floor using a neutral pH cleaner, ensuring that no residue is left behind.
Vacuum the carpeted areas and entrance mat, focusing particularly on high-traffic zones.
Sanitise and wipe high-touch surfaces using a disinfectant solution, ensuring all surfaces are visibly clean and free of smudges.
Empty the rubbish bin, replace the liner, and clean the exterior of the bin as required.
Conduct a final inspection to ensure all areas meet the quality criteria.
Clean glass surfaces with a streak-free glass cleaner to ensure clarity and shine.

PassNoticeable dust or smudges on less than 10% of surfaces. Floors have some marks but are generally clean. Glass surfaces have visible streaks. No strong unpleasant odours present.
FailVisible dust or smudges on more than 10% of surfaces. Floors are dirty or sticky. Glass surfaces are cloudy or streaked. Unpleasant odours are present.
