Objective
Ensure the gazebo in the aged care facility is clean, hygienic, and safe for use by residents and staff.
Cleaning Methods
Start by collecting and disposing of all visible debris and litter into the suitable waste bins.
Commence by utilising a microfibre cloth to dust all surfaces, initiating from the top and progressing downwards.
Apply a disinfectant solution to all seating areas and handrails, ensuring an appropriate contact time before wiping them dry.
Thoroughly sweep the floor to eliminate loose dirt and dust.
Mop the floor utilising a neutral pH cleaner, ensuring no excess water is left behind.
Disinfect and clean tables and flat surfaces by wiping them down with a disinfectant solution.
Utilise a soft brush to eliminate cobwebs and insect nests, ensuring all corners and ceilings are thoroughly inspected.
Quality Criteria
ExcellentAll surfaces visibly clean, no dust, stains, or debris. Pleasant appearance with no odors. All cleaning tasks completed to highest standard.
GoodMost surfaces clean with minimal dust or minor marks. Generally tidy appearance. All major cleaning tasks completed satisfactorily.
PassBasic cleaning completed, surfaces generally clean but may have some minor dust or marks. Acceptable standard for routine operations.
FailVisible dirt, stains, or debris present. Unacceptable odors or untidy appearance. Cleaning tasks incomplete or inadequate. Requires immediate re-cleaning.
