Objective
Ensure the lift in the aged care facility is cleaned to the highest standards to maintain hygiene, safety, and comfort for all users.
Cleaning Methods
Begin by dusting all surfaces using a microfibre cloth to remove loose dust and dirt.
Sanitise the control panel buttons and handrails utilising disinfectant spray and a pristine cloth.
Thoroughly vacuum the lift floor, ensuring special attention is paid to corners and edges.
Mop the floor using an appropriate cleaning solution, taking care to ensure it does not become slippery.
Clean mirrors and glass surfaces using a glass cleaner and a lint-free cloth.
Disinfect the interior and exterior of the lift door by wiping it down with a disinfectant solution.
Remove any rubbish or debris and dispose of it appropriately.
Inspect the lift track and threshold, cleaning them with a brush and vacuum as necessary.

ExcellentAll surfaces visibly clean, no dust, stains, or debris. Pleasant appearance with no odors. All cleaning tasks completed to highest standard.
GoodMost surfaces clean with minimal dust or minor marks. Generally tidy appearance. All major cleaning tasks completed satisfactorily.
PassBasic cleaning completed, surfaces generally clean but may have some minor dust or marks. Acceptable standard for routine operations.
FailVisible dirt, stains, or debris present. Unacceptable odors or untidy appearance. Cleaning tasks incomplete or inadequate. Requires immediate re-cleaning.
