Objective
Ensure the cleaning store in the aged care facility is maintained to the highest hygiene and safety standards, providing a clean and organized environment for storage of cleaning supplies.
Cleaning Methods
Start by dusting all surfaces with a microfibre cloth to trap dust particles.
Sanitise high-contact areas utilising an approved disinfectant, ensuring suitable contact duration for optimal effectiveness.
Utilise a HEPA filter vacuum cleaner to vacuum the floor, thereby reducing airborne particles.
Use a neutral pH cleaner to mop the floor, ensuring the protection of the flooring material.
Thoroughly wipe all containers using a damp cloth and mild detergent to eliminate any remaining residue.
Reorganise supplies, ensuring labels are visible and items are within their expiry dates.
Collect and dispose of waste in the designated bin, adhering to recycling protocols where applicable.
