Objective
Ensure the Clean Utility area in the Aged Care Facility is maintained to the highest hygiene and cleanliness standards to prevent contamination and ensure a safe environment for residents and staff.
Cleaning Methods
Begin by dusting all horizontal surfaces, using a microfibre cloth to capture dust and prevent its dispersal.
Apply a hospital-grade disinfectant to all high-touch surfaces, making sure to allow the appropriate contact time before wiping them clean.
Utilise a HEPA filter vacuum cleaner to vacuum the floor, ensuring all dust and allergens are effectively captured.
Mop the floor using a neutral pH cleaner, ensuring all areas are thoroughly covered. Remove any excess water to prevent slipping.
Thoroughly clean all surfaces of the storage area and cabinet by wiping them down with a disinfectant solution.
