Objective
Ensure the dry store in the aged care facility is maintained in a clean, hygienic, and safe condition to prevent contamination and ensure the well-being of residents and staff.
Cleaning Methods
Start by dusting all surfaces with a microfibre cloth to trap dust particles.
Administer a disinfectant solution to frequently-handled surfaces, subsequently wiping them with a pristine cloth.
Utilise a vacuum cleaner equipped with a HEPA filter to meticulously vacuum the floor.
Prepare a mop with a disinfectant solution and thoroughly mop the entire floor area, ensuring no residue is left behind.
Wipe down all storage containers and bins using a damp cloth and disinfectant.
Inspect the ceiling and corners for cobwebs, and remove them using an extendable duster.
Ensure all cleaning agents are correctly labelled and stored in a designated area.
