Ensure a clean, safe, and hygienic environment in the activity room of the aged care facility to promote the well-being of residents and staff.

Begin by dusting all surfaces using a microfibre cloth to capture dust and allergens.

Thoroughly vacuum all carpeted areas, making sure to adequately address corners and spaces beneath furniture.

Prepare a disinfectant solution as per the manufacturer's instructions and mop all hard floor surfaces.

Utilise disinfectant wipes or spray to sanitise high-touch areas, ensuring comprehensive coverage.

Disinfect all activity equipment thoroughly, focusing particularly on frequently handled items, using an appropriate disinfectant.

Empty the waste bin, replace the liner, and sanitise the surface of the bin.

Clean windows and glass surfaces using a glass cleaner and a lint-free cloth.

Store all cleaning equipment and supplies in the designated storage area, ensuring they are prepared for future use.

Excellent	All surfaces visibly clean, no dust, stains, or debris. Pleasant appearance with no odors. All cleaning tasks completed to highest standard.
Good	Most surfaces clean with minimal dust or minor marks. Generally tidy appearance. All major cleaning tasks completed satisfactorily.
Pass	Basic cleaning completed, surfaces generally clean but may have some minor dust or marks. Acceptable standard for routine operations.
Fail	Visible dirt, stains, or debris present. Unacceptable odors or untidy appearance. Cleaning tasks incomplete or inadequate. Requires immediate re-cleaning.
