Objective
Ensure the accessible toilet in the aged care facility is cleaned to the highest standards, maintaining hygiene and safety for all users.
Cleaning Methods
Ensure that you're properly attired in the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Start by removing all waste and depositing it in the designated bin.
Apply disinfectant to the toilet surface and allow for the dwell time as per the product instructions.
Disinfect and wipe handrails and grab bars.
Disinfect the sink and tap, ensuring all surfaces are thoroughly covered.
Disinfect the dispenser by wiping it down with a disinfectant wipe.
Clean mirrors utilising glass cleaner and a microfiber cloth.
Dust all horizontal surfaces using a damp cloth.
Begin mopping the floor with a disinfectant solution from the furthest corner, progressing towards the exit.
Refill all consumables and ensure dispensers are functioning properly.

ExcellentAll surfaces visibly clean, no dust, stains, or debris. Pleasant appearance with no odors. All cleaning tasks completed to highest standard.
GoodMost surfaces clean with minimal dust or minor marks. Generally tidy appearance. All major cleaning tasks completed satisfactorily.
PassBasic cleaning completed, surfaces generally clean but may have some minor dust or marks. Acceptable standard for routine operations.
FailVisible dirt, stains, or debris present. Unacceptable odors or untidy appearance. Cleaning tasks incomplete or inadequate. Requires immediate re-cleaning.
