Objective
To maintain a clean and safe HVAC plant room in a retail facility, ensuring compliance with Australian cleaning standards and workplace health and safety requirements.
Cleaning Methods
Implement a colour-coded cleaning system to avoid cross-contamination.
Ensure that the area is ready by implementing all requisite safety precautions, including appropriate signage and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Utilise a vacuum cleaner equipped with a HEPA filter to suction the floor, ensuring the capture of fine dust particles.
Sanitise high-contact areas utilising an appropriate disinfectant.
Dust all surfaces utilising a microfibre cloth or duster, beginning from the top and working downwards.
Mop the floor using a neutral pH cleaning solution, ensuring no excess water is left on the floor.
Collect and dispose of waste in the designated rubbish bin.
Wipe down the control panel and any accessible surfaces using a damp microfibre cloth.
Inspect for any indications of mould or mildew, and report findings to the maintenance team.
