Objective
Ensure the back office of the retail facility is maintained in a clean, hygienic, and organised state, adhering to Australian cleaning standards and workplace health and safety requirements.
Cleaning Methods
Start by arranging the cleaning supplies on the trolley, making sure all essential equipment and chemicals are easily accessible.
Thoroughly vacuum the carpeted area, paying particular attention to corners and spaces under furniture.
Begin dusting all surfaces with a microfibre cloth, starting from the highest point and working downwards.
Mop the hard floor using a damp mop and suitable cleaning solution, ensuring no excess water is left behind.
Empty the rubbish bin, replace the liner, and dispose of waste in accordance with the facility's protocol.
Sanitise high-contact surfaces using a disinfectant spray and cloth, ensuring appropriate contact time for maximum effectiveness.
Ensure the kitchenette area is thoroughly cleaned, with all surfaces wiped and sanitised, and sinks scrubbed and rinsed.
Sanitise office equipment using an appropriate, electronics-safe sanitiser.

PassSurfaces have some dust accumulation. Floors show visible marks and some debris. High-touch surfaces are inconsistently sanitised. Rubbish bins are emptied but not cleaned. Mild odours may be present.
FailSurfaces are dusty and visibly dirty. Floors are dirty with significant marks and debris. High-touch surfaces are not sanitised. Rubbish bins are full or overflowing. Strong unpleasant odours are present.
