Objective
To ensure the production floor is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, supporting operational efficiency and compliance with Australian workplace health and safety requirements.
Cleaning Methods
Prepare the cleaning trolley with all essential equipment and supplies, ensuring the use of colour-coded cleaning systems to prevent cross-contamination.
Begin by dusting all surfaces from high to low to capture airborne particles.
Utilise a damp mop, paired with an appropriate cleaning solution, to cleanse hard floors, ensuring no residue is left behind.
Sanitise high-contact areas by utilising a disinfectant spray and cloth, ensuring to allow for the appropriate contact time.
Empty the rubbish bin, replace the liner, and clean the bin using a disinfectant solution.
Spot-clean walls and partitions utilising a mild detergent and cloth.
Utilise a HEPA filter vacuum cleaner to vacuum carpeted areas, ensuring effective dust containment.
Sanitise and clean the wash station and tap using a non-abrasive cleaner.
Inspect and clean air vents and filters, ensuring they are free from dust and debris.

ExcellentAll surfaces are visibly clean and free from dust, dirt, and marks. Floors are spotless with no residue. High-touch areas are sanitised with no visible fingerprints or smudges. Air vents are clean with no visible dust. Rubbish bins are empty and odour-free.
GoodMost surfaces are clean with minor dust or marks. Floors are clean with minimal residue. High-touch areas are mostly sanitised with few fingerprints. Air vents have minimal dust. Rubbish bins are empty with slight odour.
PassSurfaces have some dust and marks. Floors have some residue. High-touch areas have visible fingerprints. Air vents have visible dust. Rubbish bins are not overflowing but have noticeable odour.
FailSurfaces are visibly dirty with dust and marks. Floors have significant residue. High-touch areas are unsanitised with many fingerprints. Air vents are clogged with dust. Rubbish bins are overflowing and have strong odour.
